IU Impressed By Uaenas' Acapella Version of 'Good Day' + Soloist Serenades Fans With Popular Filipino Song

Both IU and the audience surprised each other!

On June 1, IU held her "HEREH World Tour" concert at the Philippine Arena, in Bulacan. The memorable evening contained thousands of fans, who were eager to see more of the soloist live.

It was also a highly anticipated show, as it's been five years since IU performed in the Philippines. On her last visit to the country in 2019, the singer gained buzz among Filipino Uaenas (also known as Ma-aenas) when she held her "Love, Poem" concert.

In her "HEREH" concert in Bulacan, IU performed several of her hits such as "Holssi," "Jam Jam," "Blueming," "Celebrity," "eight," "Through The Night," and many more. However, the show also trended online due to one of its heartwarming highlights.

After IU had "wrapped" up the concert with a lively version of "Holssi," fans held their ground in the hopes of getting the singer to do a second encore. This led Ma-aenas to bravely sing an acapella version of her famous song "Good Day."

According to numerous clips online, fans were singing "Good Day" in unison, as they threaded through the verses wholeheartedly. The moment was even deemed special when fans decided to take on IU's challenging and iconic 3-high-note outro!

Afterwards, IU was "summoned" on the stage, causing her to express how amazed she was with the audience.

"You are all amazing! You guys are amazing. Was this really possible?" IU shared. "You know, I've been singing this song for almost a decade and this is the first time that I was surprised like this."

Likewise, fans were also equally stunned during IU's "Part 3: Romantic" segment, when the soloist surprised fans with a lovely cover of "Pasilyo" by Sunkissed Lola.
