Hanni Announces She Will Reveal More About Workplace Bullying at the National Assembly

After being summoned to the state audit next week, NewJeans Hanni confirmed her appearance as a reference witness. Here, she will talk more about workplace bullying and harassment in HYBE.

On Oct. 9th, Hanni announced to the public that she would join the upcoming state audit of the National Assembly Environment and Labor Committee on the 15th.

Through the group's fan-communication platform, Phoning, the Vietnamese-Australian singer said:

“Ah... also Bunnies (NewJeans fandom), I’ve decided! I’m going to the National Assembly. I’m going to the state audit, alone!

But don’t worry. I’m going for myself and the members, and for Bunnies, too. I also decided to attend for Bunnies."

Hanni continued that she had yet to inform her manager and her company ADOR, but after thinking about it, she realized the importance of her attendance.

Meanwhile, she was summoned by the committee last month after she exposed Belift Lab, a sub-label of HYBE purposely trying to make its artists, such as ILLIT, ignore her.

The tension between the two groups and its staff started after NewJeans's former CEO Min Hee Jin accused ILLIT of being the group's copycat. Due to this, Hanni was chosen to become a reference witness to talk more about her experiences as an idol bullied in her workplace.

On Oct. 7th then, Belift Lab released its position denying such an accusation. In a CCTV footage revealed, they proved that ILLIT did not ignore Hanni's greetings, but NewJeans' parents appeared, claiming that HYBE tried to tamper with the evidence by deleting further scenes on the day the incident happened.
