2nd-Gen K-pop Idol Confesses She Has Cervical Cancer, Says the Disease Taught Her A Lot About Life

Choa made a heavy confession to fans: she has cervical cancer.

On the night of October 14, the former Crayon Pop member took to her account to reveal the hardship she has been going through.

Titled "Cancer Coming Out," the celebrity wrote a lengthy post detailing her experience in having cancer in her 30s, as well as the takeaways from it.

"That day I was diagnosed with cervical cancer, my legs gave out from under me and I burst into tears until I couldn't see," she began.

Choa added that she was cautious in writing her confession, knowing that there are people "suffering more" than her. In spite of this, she decided to pen her own experience.

"But now I think that sharing my story might be able to provide some help and hope to someone, so I decided to bring it up," she said. "I want to connect and share my journey in the same way I've received it."

She went on to narrate that she found comfort and support in the cancer community and the people who have also struggled with the disease.
