Vince Young To Auction Possessions Including House To Pay Off $1.7 Million Worth Owed To Pro Player Funding: Where Did $34 Million Go For Former Rookie Of The Year?

Vince Young ordered to auction possessions up to $1.7 million worth to pay off money owed to Pro Player Funding, according to multiple reports, which include his home in Houston.

The reports said that authorities entered the former Tennessee Titans quarterback home for auction on Monday to inventory his possessions for an auction that will be held by court order, which will allow Vince Young to pay off his debt.

The debt for the former third-overall pick in 2006 was defaulted on a high-risk loan from Pro Player during the NFL lockout in 2011. Vince Young claimed that he was duped by former financial adviser Ronnie Peoples to take out the loan, but a court ruled against Young and he has been fighting the case ever since. Now his possessions are being auctioned to potentially put an end to his fight.

When he was drafted in 2006, he signed a $26 million guaranteed contract and won the Offensive Rookie of the Year award, but his career didn't get better from there. He spent five years with the team and one season with the Philadelphia Eagles. Vince Young is currently out of the NFL.

Young reportedly spent almost all of his $34 million that he earned during his career in the NFL. Young's financial problems have reportedly been a result of lavish spending and, by his account, the betrayal of trusted advisers.

Lawsuits is nothing new to him. In December 2008, Young filed suit against former Major League baseball player Enos Cabell and two others for applying for a trademark to use his initials and "Invinceable" nickname to sell products without his permission in 2006. The suit claimed that their use of Young's name has damaged endorsement deals for Young; he is asking the court to give him the exclusive rights to use the initials and nickname.
