USA Soccer Wins Gold Cup Final Vs. Panama Sunday With 1-0 Victory: [VIDEO] 'This Is Not The End'

USA Soccer wins Gold Cup final vs. Panama on Sunday in Chicago with a 1-0 victory.

The one goal was scored in the second-half when Landon Donovan almost scored his sixth goal of the tournament when he whiffed at the ball, but it was put in by Brek Shea. The ball looked like it was going in, but Shea put it in for good measure as USA Soccer wins Gold Cup final vs. Panama.

"I took a mighty swing at it and missed," Donovan told FOX after USA Soccer wins the Gold Cup final vs. Panama. "But it was enough to throw the goalie off."

Donovan dominated the tournament that Team USA dominated in the six games. This game was the only second 1-0 victory, while the other games were victories by two or more.

"This is not the end," Donovan said after the game on FOX. "It's the end of the tournament, but hopefully this is just the beginning for a lot of us. We want to be a part of the bigger picture."

The next step is to get back to World Cup qualifying for Brazil in 2014, which Jurgen Klinsmann said Donovan had to prove himself and by the looks of it, he did just that. Klinsmann was suspended from the match after slamming the soccer ball during the semi-final against Honduras.

"We feel good about where we are," Donovan said. "To have a taste of that again was fun" after USA Soccer wins its sixth Gold Cup.
