‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ Movie Cast: Ian Somerhalder Bitterly Suggests Jim Carrey To Play Christian Grey; E.L. James Confirms 'Vampire Diaries' Star No Longer A Contender

"Fifty Shades of Grey" movie cast will not include Ian Somerhalder as Christian Grey, and it looks like 'The Vampire Diaries' star is not too pleased about the recent snubbing.

X17video shared footage of Ian, 34, arriving at LAX after reportedly getting ruled out for the role of Christian Grey in the "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie adaption, CelebDirtyLaundry.com reports.

When asked if he knows who will land the role instead of him, he responds: "I don't know, you tell me."

Then the actor bitterly jokes that the role should go to "Jim Carrey."

CelebDirtyLaundry.com notes that Somerhalder was either offended by not being chosen, or just tired of the paparazzi asking him about "Fifty Shades" casting rumors.

A source confirmed a few days ago that Somerhalder was out of the running for the coveted role in Hollywood.

The source told Us Weekly: "E.L. was at a Comic-Con party July 20 telling people the part won't go to Ian."

Somerhalder had previously told Ryan Seacrest on KISS-FM radio in April that he was "absolutely" up for playing the role of Grey.

"It could be very, very amazing," Somerhalder said. "I have the book and I just started reading it. That would be a pretty incredible thing, and hopefully that could pan out . . . Beyond the shadow of a doubt, I think that would be a phenomenal opportunity!"
