Kim Bum says, 'I will go to the army.'

Well-known actor Kim Bum (24) revealed his plans to enlist in the army sometime soon at the press conference for MBC's 'Goddess of Fire Jung Yi' held on the afternoon of August 5 at a restaurant near the MBC Dream Center.

When asked about his plans to enlist in the army, Kim Bum responded by saying, 'There isn't much time left before I go,' and 'it definitely is in my plans.'

He went on to say, 'When people hear where I've decided to enlist, they will be shocked,' and 'I'll be revealing the place in the near future.'

Regarding this matter, an agent from Kim Bum's agency said, 'Kim Bum actually has a desire to hurry up and go to the army,' and 'I think he has made up his mind to go somewhere that offers difficult training,' and 'We plan to make it possible for him to go whenever he wants to.'

In addition, Kim Bum revealed his affection for his character 'Tae Do' in the drama. He said, 'When I first saw the script, I thought Tae Do was really an admirable character,' and 'although it took a little bit of adapting and adjusting, I feel as if I have grown into the character.'

He also said that, like his character, when he falls in love, he is the type of person to protect his lover. He said, 'My ideal woman is one that I can protect.'

'Goddess of fire Jung Yi' is the amazing story of Baek Pa Sun, who was the first female potter in the Joseon Dynasty. The porcelain produced in Joseon Dynasty is said to be of highest quality anywhere in 16th century Asia. The porcelain culture is known to be the mixture of science and art. Currently the drama is quite exciting to watch, as Yoo Jung (played by Moon Geun Young), Kwang Hae (played by Lee Sang Yoon), and Tae Do (played by Kim Bum) are involved in a love triangle.
