BoA’ to Debut in KBS Drama, ‘Hope for Love’

BoA is going to debut in her first drama ever on KBS 2TV's 'Hope for Love,' which recently went into production.

On August 6 the staff of 'Hope for Love' (written by Joo Hwa Mi and directed by Lee Eun Jin) revealed the open script reading of the drama, which was held on August 3. Director Lee Eun Jin and writer Joo Hwa Mi were present, as well as various staff members and actors Choi Daniel, BoA, Yim Siwan, and Kim Ji Won.

The open script reading was a success due to the actor's preparation of reading the script beforehand, and it was conducted in a friendly and energetic manner. The actors even went so far as to keep eye contact as they rehearsed their lines, and were in perfect breathtaking harmony with one another. It was as if one was watching the actual filming of the drama.

Even after the script reading, the four leading actors sat around for a long time and talked with the director and writer about their respective characters, and shared their hope and affection for the new project.

A 'Hope for Love' official said, 'The script reading was conducted in an overall positive setting because the similarly-aged actors are all friends.' He/she continued, 'The actors even did a fantastic job with the ad-libs, bringing much laughter to the reading, and were very focused on every facial expression and emotion to make it seem very real. I'm sure everyone present noticed their extreme attention to detail.'

The two-part pilot drama 'Hope for Love' is a work that explores all different types of dating styles between men and women, and has a lot of unique characters to play those roles. It is sure to captivate both male and female audiences alike.

The drama is set to air this coming September.
