TVXQ Changmin Injured While White Water Rafting

TVXQ Changmin gets injured while filming 'Our Neighborhood Arts and Sports.'

On the KBS2 'Our Neighborhood Arts and Sports' episode that aired on August 6, the team took a trip to Gangwon Province to train and do team-building activities.

As part of their team-building exercise, the group decided to hold a grand prix rafting tournament. The punishment for the last team to finish was to forgo lunch. The teams made a valiant effort for victory as they passed one other.

However, going through the last rapids, there was an unexpected wave that left Changmin injured. Changmin suffered a blow to the lip with an oar because of the sudden jerking of the raft, to which his partner Lee Jong Soo cried out, 'Your lip is swollen.' However Changmin paid no attention to his injury and said, 'Let's go!'

Lee Jong Soo was more worried about Changmin. Despite having arrived in last place, Lee Jong Soo took Changmin's face in his hands and showed remorse at seeing his swollen lip. However the severity of the injury wasn't made apparent until later when they started their 'talk.' That's what the extremely swollen lip was caught on camera.

Everyone was surprised at the painful-looking injury on Changmin's face that made it difficult for him to talk. Nevertheless, Changmin didn't let that stop him during their talk. He was well enough to joke around with the other members.

His real worth was yet to be revealed. In the next segment, he was able to overtake the 'ace' members of the group with a jump smash, proving his dogged spirit, which was not hindered by his injury. The members marveled at Changmin's resolve and couldn't hide their awe.

Not only that, in the penalty game that required flicking each other's foreheads, Changmin earned the title of strongest forehead flicker, and brought lots of laughter to the viewers with his powerful forehead flicking abilities.

Despite having an extremely swollen lip, Changmin worked vigorously for his team. If anything, the injury made the team's united fighting spirit even stronger. Especially when one considers that Changmin laughed while in pain and purposely joked around with his colleagues instead of focusing on his injury, it's obvious that Changmin is a valuable asset whose fighting spirit shines.
