Solbi Gets the Leading Female Role in ‘Fantasy Tower’
Singer Solbi is being cast as the main female character in 'Fantasy Tower.'
Solbi will have the leading female role of journalist Jung Eun Sung in 'Fantasy Tower,' which will air on August 14. Jung Eun Sung is a magazine journalist who meets Yong Wan (played by Song Jae Rim), a man with the mysterious super powers to predict the future.
At the latest shooting, Solbi showed a completely different side to her usually bright and honest self; she sobbed and wailed openly for the drama. The staff was completely blown away by her acting, and praised her for it.
Despite her busy entertainment schedule, Solbi has been preparing for her role as an actress by taking acting classes in what little free time she had. She made an impression on the viewers in KBS 2TV 'Advertising Genius Lee Tae Baek' (which aired its final episode last March) as a stuck up top star named Hwang Ye Ri. She also starred in SBS 'Wonderful Mama' last May as Kim Ji Suk(played by Ko Young Soo)'s girlfriend Hye Ji. She was only supposed to appear in four episodes, but because her bright and pleasant character received high praise from the fans, she appeared until the 8thepisode.
Solbi has been building her acting experience for a long time now. In 2008 she played Jung Joo Ri in MBC 'Life Special Investigation Team.' She also starred in a 2011 play called 'Lee Ki Dong Gymnasium,' and in a musical called 'Toxic Hero.' Not only that, she has made countless cameo appearances on various shows. Not counting her cameo appearances, she already has five years of acting under her belt.
