Kim Hyun Joong revealed how he came to earn almost one hundred thousand dollars.

Singer Kim Hyun Joong starred as a guest on an episode of KBS 2TV "Happy Together" that aired on August 15, on which the guests talked about their childhood.

In this episode, the MCs revealed the guests' childhood photos. When Kim Hyun Joong's photo was revealed, the hosts marveled, "He's handsome." Kim Hyun Joong said, "That was when I studied well. I was even number 1 in my whole school. It was when I had to wear uniforms that I slowly gave up on studying."

The MCs asked Hyun Joong, "Is it true that you earned 100 million Won (about $100,000) working part-time jobs?" He replied, "It is the accumulated sum of all the money I saved ever since I was a kid. I would work instead of going to school," surprising every one.

Kim Hyun Joong also revealed, "I worked at one of the family chain restaurants, and would work until closing. I even had the job of catching the occasional cockroach once a month."
