Pokemon Wii U Release Teased At Game Show [VIDEO]? Mysterious Trailer: X And Y Promotion, Or Upcoming Game Freak Release Like Pokemon Z?

As the Pokemon Game Show gets underway this weekend to anticipated the launch of Pokemon X and Y, a new trailer has surfaced amping up excitement for a potential Wii U release.

The trailer, as seen below, showcases Pikachu walking through a field of all the Pokemon games that's ever been released, starting with Pokemon Red.

One thing to note is the advanced graphics of the trailer, which many sources have noted to be more reminiscent of Wii U graphics than the 3DS.

However, watching the trailer in its entirety, one can also see that Pikachu lands in front of Pokemon X and Y last, showing that the trailer could be a simple retrospective trailer of all the Pokemon games so far, and nothing regarding a Wii U release.

But it is not the entire trailer or its graphics that's being talked about, but the image of Blaziken and Lucario, standing in front of each other, looking ready to battle which ends the trailer.

This image, which tags the trailer as the finale image, looks more reminiscent of Pokemon Stadium, Pokemon Colosseum, or Pokemon Battle Revolution.

If this is a preview of a game release, it is most likely not for a handheld device, so a potential Wii U release could be what this is about.

Some fans have even gone as far as to theorize that this is a preview of Pokemon Z, the predicted third title of what is traditionally a three-title generation!

Still, given that no confirmation has arrived yet, it is best to assume this is a simple promotional video and nothing more.

For now.
