NU'EST Introduces Us To The 'Mystic Fantasy' Genre With New Track 'Sleep Talking'

NU'EST has released their newest single "Sleep Talking" and have added a new genre to K-Pop at the same time.

On August 22 the five-member urban-electro boy band made their official comeback with the new single "Sleep Talking" and its colorful music video.

According to the group's agency Pledis Entertainment, the new song introduces fans to a new style of music they are calling 'mystic fantasy'.

Judging by the music video, it is not hard to see why.

NU'EST brings views into a fantastical world brought on by sleep deprivation with some clever sets and camera work. Almost like if K-Pop remade the movie Inception.

The members are wearing brightly colored outfits that walk that fine line between quirky street fashion and pajamas while they fight with the urge to sleep.

Pledis explains that the song and innovative new genre are meant to ignite the imaginations of those who listen to it.

Lyrically, "Sleep Talking" is about a guy who falls in love with a girl, but he is unable to express his feelings to her. However, all that changes when he talks in his sleep and confesses everything.

"Sleep Talking" is the title track off NU'EST's third mini-album.
