Top Android Phones 2013: Motorola Sells 100K Moto X's A Week, Report Says

Ever since Motorola joined the Android competition several years back, it has dreamed of getting to the top three, if not the top of the platform. And it looks like it is heading towards that goal this year.

According to reports from Reuters, the smartphone manufacturer is able to sell hundreds of thousands of Moto X units every week.

Indeed it is one step for Motorola toward the realization of its dreams, but when we look at it from another perspective, it's not too impressive.

Last year, Apple managed to sell 5 million iPhone 5 units in just three days. In April, Samsung sold 6 million Galaxy S4 models in 2 weeks. A couple of months back, HTC reportedly sells over a million HTC One units a month, and that is still considered 'less successful'.

Motorola is still way behind in terms of market share, but this consistency in product sales is definitely a good sign that there is a great future for the once mobile phone pioneer.

Another reason the Moto X has been making the rounds over the Web these days is the series of videos which feature the smartphone with a 'lazy phone' that the video doesn't name.

Here is a video about the Moto X's 'Touchless Control' feature.
