Vampire Diaries Season 5 Spoilers: Jeremy’s ‘Heart Is Still With Bonnie;’ How Will He Manage To Keep Her Secret While Living With Damon?

Steven R. McQueen revealed some new "The Vampire Diaries" season 5 spoilers, regarding his character Jeremy Gilbert and his relationship with Bonnie Bennett.

Where we last left off these two lovebirds, Jeremy Gilbert was brought back to life in the season 4 finale, but with a great price. His life was saved in exchange for the life of his girlfriend, Bonnie Bennett, who sacrificed her mortality for him.

Since Jeremy has a special gift of seeing and communicating with the dead, he can still interact with Bonnie, but will he tell his friends and family on "The Vampire Diaries" that the beloved Bonnie has crossed to the other side come season 5?

Spoilers reveal: not likely.

"From Jeremy's perspective, it's losing another loved one and it being my fault," Steven R. McQueen, who plays Jeremy on "Vampire Diaries," told TV Fanatic, Wet Paint reports.

McQueen added that Jeremy is "carrying the weight of that secret." And to makes matters worse, he's unable to move on, according to Wet Paint.

"My heart is still with Bonnie," McQueen revealed.

Talk about star-crossed lovers!

Meanwhile, Jeremy will be working on a real life relationship...with Damon Salvatore. According to Wet Paint, Jeremy will move in with Damon while his older sister Elena Gilbert moves away to start freshman year of college.

McQueen says he's "kind of stuck rooming with Damon."

But it doesn't turn out too well: They're "butting heads a little bit, getting in each other's comfort zones," he says.

Why? "He's hooking up with my sister!" McQueen exclaims. "I don't think I'm stoked about [their relationship]... it's definitely interesting."

"The Vampire Diaries" season 5 premiere October 3rd on the CW.
