Jim Ross Retires From WWE: 20-Year Broadcasting Career [VIDEO] Calling Matches For Stone Cold, The Rock, John Cena, Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart And Many More

Jim Ross retires from WWE after 20 years of on-and-off work in many different roles with the wrestling company, which included his most-known as lead commentator.

WWE.com reported that the 61-year-old Jim Ross retires to pursue different interest. One of those interest could include his growing barbeque sauce. Good ole JR will be remembered as the man who called some of the greatest wrestling matches in history.

Jim Ross retires from the WWE, leaving behind a career as a commentator, referee, vice president of talent relations, booking and other roles in the wrestling business, which included WCW, NWA Mid-South and other companies.

"The feedback I've received re: my @WWE retirement has been amazing. Heartfelt thanks to all. I'm ready 4 the next adventure. Stay tuned!" Jim Ross tweeted Wednesday.

"Jim has had a long and storied career at WWE, both on the corporate staff as well as his television persona, calling some of the most memorable matches in WWE history as the voice of Monday Night Raw and SmackDown for more than two decades. He made his debut with WWE at WrestleMania IX in 1993 and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007 by his long-time friend "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.

Jim has made many contributions to WWE and the sports-entertainment industry, and we thank him for his many years of service and wish him well."
