Legend Of Korra Book 2: Eska And Bolin To Date, Actor PJ Byrne On Season 2 And The Recording Process

"The Legend of Korra" Book 2 is right around the corner, and a few last-minute tidbits have surfaced regarding Bolin.

According to an updated bio provided by Nickelodeon through the Dark Into Light trivia site, "The Legend of Korra" Book 2 will see a potential relationship develop between Bolin and new character Eska.

"Eska becomes fascinated by Bolin's simple ways and forces him to become her boyfriend," says the description.

For fans who do not know, Eska and Desna are waterbending twins being introduced this season, and their father is Unalaq, Korra's uncle.

"These two waterbending 16-year-olds rarely show any emotion besides boredom, due to the fact that they dislike most people, places, and things. Blood may not be thicker than water for this family, and as members of the Northern Water Tribe, Eska and Desna mostly see Korra as a southern rube, Avatar or not."

In talking about "The Legend of Korra" Book 2, P.J. Byrne took the time with talk with Hypable on playing Bolin and the series as a whole.

"I tell them this all the time - these guys don't get enough credit for being really good comedy writers. Everyone's like, the show is smart and it's out there and it's really intelligent and they're great artists, etc. But they also write really good comedy," comments Byrne on "The Legend of Korra" staff.

"And partly because, it's not like they think of themselves as comedic writers. They're writing moments that are honest and true, and not trying to hit a joke on its head. And for me, I think that's probably the funniest stuff."

In talking about Bolin, the actor also reveals some potential pitfalls in Book 2 for the character.

"He loves any and all people, and he always wants to do the right thing. He always wants to help people and he always wants to stand up for his friends, and that's the core of who he is. And that can sometimes hurt him and get him trouble."
