JK Rowling Writes Screenplay Set In Wizard World; Will Harry Potter Return? Multiple Film Deal Confirmed

J.K. Rowling, renowned author of the Harry Potter series, writes her first ever screenplay. It is set in the same world as the Hogwarts Wizards. Warner Brothers Entertainment has already locked on a multiple film deal. Does this signal the return of Harry, Hermione and the rest of the wizards?

The film is titled "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them." It is already projected as the first film in a series. Warner wants to cash in on the lingering popularity of Harry Potter. It spawned eight films at a combined $7.7 billion in total, according to website Box Office Mojo.

The billion dollar author admits that a return to the world she created ignites her passion: "I always said that I would only revisit the wizarding world if I had an idea that I was really excited about and this is it.

She is also quick to dispel any speculation that this project is a precursor to a Harry Potter return: "Although it will be set in the worldwide community of witches and wizards where I was so happy for 17 years, 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' is neither a prequel nor a sequel to the Harry Potter series, but an extension of the wizarding world,"

"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," was a textbook from the Potter world. The main protagonist is Newt Scamander, the fictitious author of the book. His adventures take him all around the magical land. That magical land will soon extend into theme parks and video games as part of the Warner deal.

The ultimate plan is for Warner Bros. and its parent company, Time Warner, to rival the Disney Empire. The company has partnerships with DC Comics, and also holds the rights to the Lord of The Rings universe.
