Kingdom Hearts 3 Release Date: ‘Final Fantasy XV’ Stalls Launch? Producer Confirms Lack Of Developments Because Of RPG

"Kingdom Hearts 3" producer Shinji Hashimoto has confirmed that the lack of production on the game is due to the focus on the development of "Final Fantasy XV," the Latin Times reports.

Due to the success of the "Final Fantasy" series, more bad news may be on the way - Nomura has already hinted at the possibility of a sequel to the next numerical entry in the "Final Fantasy" franchise, however, it is still unclear whether its production would take precedent to "Kingdom Hearts 3," the Latin Times also reports.

Some speculate that it seems unlikely for the developer to produce the game for next-generation consoles Playstation 4 and Xbox One earlier than 2015.

New reports have also suggested that Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy XV are not likely to arrive at the same time since both games are produced by the same director.

But Square Enix hosted a pre-launch event for the upcoming release of Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMix at the Anaheim Marriott last weekend, leaving gamers wondering if the developer will now focus its energies on revealing Kingdom Hearts 3.

PS3 Trophies has also revealed the full trophy list for Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX, which is expected to come out on September 10.

But an increasing number of gamers are awaiting announcements about the highly-anticipated successor game within the series.

The game's developer is working on exclusive content for several Playstation platforms.
