Terry Bradshaw, who is doing duty as an NFL analyst for Fox, got caught at the tail end of a joke on Fox Football Daily on Friday night.

Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Terry Bradshaw is the co-host of Fox NFL Sunday. He dropped the F-bomb during the “Sneak Peaks” portion of the program on Fox’s new sports channel, Fox Sports 1, in between commercial breaks. Once in between commercials, the camera was turned to show the viewers what was happening in the studio, Terry Bradshaw was telling his Fox NFL Sunday co-host and analyst, Jimmy Johnson, a joke that ended with the punchline “Besides, I wouldn’t have f***** his old ugly-ass mother anyway. God dang. I’ve got more pride than that,” and Johnson laughing away.

Fox apologized because the segment shouldn’t have been aired. Fox Sports spokesman Dan Bell said the station took all responsibility, saying “FOX Sports apologizes for the inadvertent and inappropriate language heard during a commercial break on Friday’s edition of FOX Football Daily on FOX Sports 1. The personalities in the studio, including Terry Bradshaw, were unaware that we’d be going to the set live at that time. We apologize to Terry and viewers who unfortunately heard the comments. We are reviewing our procedures to make sure this does not happen again.”

Terry Bradshaw didn’t utter the on-camera profanity during a scheduled, on-camera portion of the show.
