‘Batman Vs Superman’ Followed By Justice League Film? Warner CEO Announces’12 DC Comics Movies’

The 'Batman Vs Superman' movie may soon be followed by the Justice League movie. This is a real possibility as no less than the Warner Bros. CEO has announced that they will make 12-14 movies from the DC Universe.

Following the success of the Disney partnership with Marvel, their arch-rivals will try to catch up. Marvel is already at Phase II of their storyline, which will culminate with the Avengers sequel (to be titled "Avengers: Age of Ultron) released in 2015. They already have plans for Phase III.

Warner understands they need to make up for lost time. They greenlighted the sequel for "Man of Steel" even before it was shown, and they have a release date set. Bank of America Merrill Lynch Media, Communications and Entertainment Conference CEO Kevin Tsujihara has announced:

"I think the basis, foundation of those 12 to 14 pictures are going to be coming from DC Entertainment."

He clarified: "We have Batman Vs. Superman coming out in 2015, but there are going to be in the coming months a lot of announcements regarding the future movie, television, games and consumer product pieces that are going to be coming from DC."

"DC really does touch a lot of parts of our business and is an important part of the strategy in how we are going to grow going forward," explained Tsujihara.

Rumors of  DC Movies in Development include The Flash (for a possible 2016 release) and the Justice League movie (2017). There might be feature films for other characters like Wonder Woman or Green Arrow.

Speculation will continue, but what is certain as of now, Warner and DC will challenge the Disney/Marvel dominance.
