'Iron Man 3' Is Last Movie In Series, Tony Stark Still In Avengers 2; Gwyneth Paltrow Not Returning In Sequel

'Iron Man 3' is the last Iron Man movie. However, Tony Stark will still wear the armor for 'Avengers 2' and another sequel beyond that. Other characters from Iron Man like Pepper Potts, won't be around.

Gwyneth Paltrow, in an interview with HitFix, has reiterated that she is not part of "Avengers: Age of Ultron" the sequel to "The Avengers.": "I don't think so. Nobody's asked me. My phone has not rung forAvengers 2."

She did enjoy her armored run in the last Iron Man movie. She thinks it's a great idea. "I agree-especially seeing my children's reaction to the movie, and all the little girls-it was empowering for them, it was cool."

The former Oscar nominee reminds us that: "My deal is over as well. When they signed us, they signed us for three. So that's it for the moment, but you never know."

Robert Downey, Jr is signed for two more Avengers movies, but not Iron Man. Marvel chief Kevin Feige, in an interview with Empire online, clarifies: "Tony's going to carry on. Avengers 2 already has a release date. But that doesn't mean you can't put him through a wringer and have him emerge very different. Part of what I like about Phase 2 and as you learn more about Thor and Avengers and Cap and what Shane's concocted here, each of the characters enters the next Avengers film in 2015 very different people from what they are now. The world will be very different because of the events of the other films."
