Android Tablet PC Price: Asus Announces PadFone Infinity, To Retail At Around $640

Asus has recently announced its new generation PadFone Infinity smartphone for consumers who want to take on a different manufacturer other than Samsung and Apple. And if you are looking for a decent Android tablet PC price, you will surely be satisfied with this offer from the Taiwanese manufacturer.

According to the annnouncement, the new PadFone Infinity will boast similar dimensions as its predecessor. What will make it stand out from the crowd is its highly powerful quadcore Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.2Ghz. The smartphone also runs with Adreno 330 graphics under its hood and 2GB of RAM for efficient multi-tasking.

While Asus retained the camera megapixels to 13, it has upgraded the overall capabilities of its sensor, creating better camera images. GSM Arena compares it to Nokia's PureView, but Asus calls the feature PixelMaster.

One major addition to the new PadFone is the microSD card support. While the device's internal storage has been reduced to just 16GB and 32GB variants, microSD support will still get the appeal it needs from Android enthusiasts who switch cards at will.

The Asus PadFone Infinity runs with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box, and we don't know yet if it will support 4.3 or even 4.4 a.k.a. KitKat.

This device from Asus is expected to be released in a few weeks with the PadFone retailing at about $640, while the PadFone Station would be an additional $240.
