Google Nexus 4 Price: US Play Store Bade Nexus 4 Goodbye, Brace For Nexus 5 Launch

For the past several months, the Nexus 4 has amazed us with near-perfect Android experience. The Google Nexus 4 price together with its quality are undeniably two of its strongest selling points, and Google has learned that the easy way. Now the company will pull out its former flagship just to give way for the upcoming Nexus 5.

In a report by GSM Arena, the smartphone is now out of stock in the US Play Store, and The Verge says Google has no plans of restocking, which means the company has officially pulled the plug of the Nexus 4, at least in the US.

The stocked units of the Nexus 4 have reportedly sold out a few days after Google announced a $100 price cut on both the 8GB and 16GB editions. Analysts saw the huge discount as a way to prepare the market for the upcoming Nexus 5, reportedly developed once again by LG Electronics.

However, we are not sure whether Google plans to produce and replenish stocks in other markets outside the US. But considering how the company is preparing for its Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 KitKat debut, it probably won't.

The Nexus 5 is rumored to be launched in October.
