iOS 7 Release Date Set For Today, September 18; Newest Apple OS Available For iPhone 4, 4S, 5, 5C, 5S, iPod Touch 5th Gen, iPad 2, iPad With Retina Display & iPad Mini
For those enthusiastically waiting for Apple's newest mobile operating system, iOS 7 release date is finally happening today, September 18.
Promising to be the "world's most advanced mobile operating system," iOS 7 is going to be available today, Wednesday, for the public. Though Apple did not officially announce a particular time for the availability, iOS 7 release time may be set around 10 AM PT, if Apple will follow its launch pattern, as reported by Fansided. If the iOS 7 release around 10 in the morning PT will push through, this would mean that those living in the East Coast may be get the latest mobile OS just after noon.
iOS 7 release will only be available to those with Apple smartphones like the iPhone 4 and other newer devices such as the iPhone 4S, iPhone 5. Moreover, iOS 7 will also be available for upcoming Apple handsets, the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5S. Other Apple devices which can be updated with iOS 7 are 5th-generation iPod touch, iPad 2, iPad with Retina Display and the iPad Mini.
iOS 7, designed by Jony Ive, was first introduced during WWDC 2013. Some of the new features Apple users will find on the iOS 7 are: iTunes Radio (a free Internet radio service); AirDrop ( a quick way to share content with people nearby); and new voices for Siri, as well as its integration with Twitter Search, Wikipedia and Bing.
The redesigned Photos app will feature Moments, which is a new method to organize photos and videos based on location and time. iOS 7 will also provide new Camera app filters. Notification Center will be available from the Lock screen.
Once the iOS 7 become available, Apple users interested to update their device can make the update directly on their iOS devices by going to Settings> General>> Software Update. Also, users can get the iOS 7 update by plugging in the device to iTunes.
