Arnold Schwarzenegger Avatar 2 Rumors Dispelled; 'Expendables 3', 'Terminator 5', 'The Legend of Conan' Underway

Arnold Schwarzenegger in Avatar 2?  This had been denied by a spokesman for 20th Century Fox.   

In a report published on September 16, Latino Review said Arnie will be playing the villain in the upcoming sequel.  It wrote: 

Well guess what cool kids! We know who one of those nasty humans are going to be. In fact, according to top level sources, a bad guy human general is going to be played by someone who hasn't worked with James Cameron in almost 20 years. Ready? It's none other than... 

...ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER! BOOM!  

However, Variety reports that this is mere fabrication.  It quotes the production rep as saying, "No truth to this." 

But the online magazine also points out, "While Schwarzenegger may be on a list of possible actors, the casting process has just gotten underway for Cameron and producer Jon Landau." 

It's certain, however, that he will be in Terminator Reboot, the fifth instalment to the movie series.  It is scheduled to be released on Wednesday, July 1, 2015, pushed back from the original schedule of June 26.   

ArnoldFans.com quotes Schwarzenegger as saying, "I'm very happy that the studios want me to be in Terminator 5 and to star AS the Terminator, which we start shooting in January..."

Aside from Terminator Reboot, fans can expect to see Mr. Olympia in "Expendable 3" where he will reprise his role as Trench.  Returning with him are Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, and Terry Crews; and to join them are Wesley Snipes, Antonio Banderas, Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford, Kellan Lutz, Ronda Rousey, Victor Ortiz, and Glen Powell.  The movie is scheduled to be released on August 15, 2014. 

And the 66-year old actor will also be in "The Legend of Conan."  In an interview with Paradox Entertainment president and CEO Fredrik Malmberg last July, TheArnoldFans was able to confirm that the movie is well on its way. 

Quoting Maimberg in the interview, "Oh, It's happening. We have a great story. Everyone loves it. This is a role that's perfect for him (Arnold) and he's very involved with the whole Universal team." 

He added, "It's the best team they have. Arnold has been very instrumental to being this together saying, 'We gotta make a good Conan!' I think if we do this right, we can do two more Conan movies right after. I think Game of Thrones also shows a huge interest in fantasy. I'm psyched about it."
