Paula Patton On Miley Cyrus Twerk Performance: All My Friends Dance Like That, Wife Of Robin Thicke Says

Paula Patton, Robin Thicke's wife, revealed how she really feels about Miley Cyrus' twerking performance at the 2013 MTV VMAs, where Miley twerked up on Paula Patton's hubby.

During an appearance on Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live" Tuesday night, Paula Patton told host Andy Cohen that she knew what was going to happen while watching Cyrus twerk on Robin Thicke, CBS News reports.

"I wasn't surprised at all," Patton said. "Honestly, they rehearsed for three days beforehand. I don't know how not to dance with someone having their booty in your...all my friends do it like that."

While Patton defended Miley Cyrus' and Robin Thicke's VMAs performance, Patton also alluded to the 20-year-old pop star's recent hit, "We Can't Stop," which some believe makes references to ecstasy use, according to CBS News.

"And I didn't really know what the big deal was," Patton added. "I didn't know if they thought Miley was going to sit down and play the piano like Alicia Keys. Her song's about taking molly [a slang term for ecstasy]. I don't understand. I didn't get the big deal."

Patton, 37, and Thicke, 36, have been married since 2005, according to CBS News. The couple began dating in their teens. Their son, Julian, was born in 2010.

Three days after the August 25 awards show, Cyrus told an MTV documentary film crew that she knew there would be a lot of talk over her performance with Thicke, CBS News reports.

"You're wanting to make history," Cyrus said, "Me and Robin the whole time said, 'you know we're about to make history right now.'"
