GTA 5 PC Release Date News: 500K Gamers Want Computer Version? Petition To Bring Rockstar Game To Computer Gains Momentum

A petition to release a PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5 has surpassed over 500,000 signatures, the Inquirer reports, leaving many gamers wondering if Rockstar will release a computer version of the game.

Rockstar Games has always held fast to its release schedules - with the impending launch of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, the studio has no reason to change its formula, CNET.com writes.

The number of fans clamoring for a PC version of GTA V on the petition site stands at nearly 420,000 as of this story's publication but he developer famous for keeping its lips sealed about studio secrets has no reason to change up that formula -- no matter how many signatures the Change.org petition garners, CNET.com also writes.

There is a section detailing "PC configuration overrides" in the Xbox 360 as well as a line of "pc" code that seems to indicate a GTA V PC releasedate is in the cards for fans, the International Digital Times reports.

A PS4 version was also allegedly found in the gamecode under the platform name "Orbis," which fans remember was the codename given to the PS4 during development, the International Digital Times also reports.
