Pokemon X and Y are just around the corner, and a new trailer for the anime series has surfaced online!

The Pokemon X and Y anime will premiere in Japan October 17, five days after the release of the video games, and Ash is back and will be joined by a few new faces from the Kalos region!

Check out the trailer below:

From the trailer, we can see Pokemon X and Y characters Clemont and Bonnie. In the video games, Clemont is a gym leader at Lumiose City, and in the anime, it appears he refuses to battle Ash because he does not have any Kalos gym badges.

Also, it appears Serena, the X and Y hero's next-door neighbor, will appear in the anime as well, and appears to know Ash from when he was a child.

Are you excited for the Pokemon X and Y anime?

In addition, the new Pokemon special, "Pokemon: The Origin," will reportedly be released on DVD and Blu-Ray December 4. This is most likely the Japanese release date only, but it might get an international release some time down the line.

For fans who do not know, "Pokemon: The Origin" is a special that will air on TV, and showcases Red, the protagonist of Pokemon Red and Blue as he journeys across Kanto as a Pokemon trainer. This special will also air in October, coinciding with the anime series and the X and Y video games.
