Natalie Portman Afraid Of Tripping In Red Carpet Affairs: ‘Black Swan’ Actress Admits That Wearing Red Lipstick Makes Her Feel ‘Admired’

Despite seemingly having it all, the 32-year-old actress shows that like other normal humans, she similarly has a fear. For the Oscar-winning celebrity, one of her greatest fears is landing flat on her face while being surrounded by high-profile photographers.

In an interview with French magazine Madame Figaro, the 'Black Swan' actress reveals how difficult it was for her to conquer her first red carpet affairs: "It's a very serious game. I remember my first red carpets. I felt like I was wearing a costume, it was hilarious. Nowadays, I'm used to it: you just need to look happy even if you're wearing uncomfortable shoes or a dress you regret having chosen."

She has opened up how being pregnant made her more determined to walk smoothly during events: "When I was pregnant, it was an obsession, I kept repeating to myself, 'Don't fall, don't fall."

The brunette beauty similarly shared her tips on how to appear self-assured in such types of events: "My top tip? Looking confident and calm."

Wearing a scarlet shade of lipstick also appears to be one of her power tips. The Hollywood actress, who is currently the face of Rouge Dior lipstick, describes what the lipstick means to her: "Passion, of course. Confidence, strength, seduction, femininity. It's the color of brunettes. When I put red lipstick on, it's because I wasn't to be admired...by my husband."

The 'Closer' actress is married to ballet dancer Benjamin Millepied who happened to be the 'Black Swan's' choreographer. They currently have one son, Aleph.
