Miley Cyrus TWERK Performance Still Being Condemned: ‘She Can’t Dance, Her Body Looked Like Hell,’ Says Singer Cher

A couple of weeks after the daring MTV Video Music Awards performance of MIley Cyrus, celebrities are still discussing whether the young star's performance is an artistic expression of herself or merely an irrational and raunchy act.

Although Britney Spears and Lady Gaga previously defended the 20-year-old pop star's antics, another two singers expressed their mortification over the unforgettable 'We Can't Stop' performance.

Pink was recently asked by E! Online about the performance to which she replied, "Am I into it? No, I think it's tacky." The 'Perfect' singer further justified her statement by saying that she believes that Cyrus can do so much better: "She's really freaking talented; she's beautiful. She can sing her ass off and to go up there and do that? She's cheating herself and she's cheating the rest of us. She can do what she wants. People can like it if they want. I'm not going to buy it. She can do better. I've seen her do better."

In a separate interview with USA Today, Cher indirectly said that the former Disney star's performance appeared as if she was trying too hard: "I'm not old-fashioned. She could have come out naked, and if she'd just rocked the house, I would have said, 'You go, girl.' It just wasn't done well. She can't dance, her body looked like hell, the song wasn't great, one cheek was hanging out. And, chick, don't stick out your tongue if it's coated."

Despite the continuous criticisms of her twerking, the 'Wrecking Ball' singer remains unmoved: "They're over thinking it. You're thinking about it more than I thought about it when I did it. Like, I didn't even think about it, because that's just me. I don't pay attention to the negatives. I've seen this play out so many times. Anyone [who] performs, that's what you're looking for. You want to make history."
