Miley Cyrus Twerking Video Destroys Life? Liam Hemsworth Dumps Fiancé Following Raunchy VMA Performance

Liam Hemsworth dumped fiancé Miley Cyrus just weeks after her raunchy VMA performance, leaving many wondering if her obsession with twerking was the last straw in the relationship.

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have officially broken up and the "Hunger Games" star wants his former fiancé to keep the $250,000 engagement ring he gave her last May, the New York Daily News reports, leaving many wondering if it was a pity gift.

Liam Hemsworth was spotted partying  in Las Vegas with Mexican actress Eiza Gonzalez before it was announced that he and Miley Cyrus split and the Australian actor was also seen kissing her in front of her apartment.

Miley Cyrus' representative confirmed the split to the New York Daily News on Monday.

Earlier this week, HollywoodLife.com reported that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are allegedly "on a break" and are expected to cancel their upcoming wedding.

"Miley and Liam have a very tumultuous relationship and are both exhausted," a source revealed to the website.

Miley Cyrus revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that the expression on her eyes in the music video of her new hit track "Wrecking Ball" were more depressing than her lyrics.

"If people can take their minds off the obvious and go into their imagination and see what the video really means, it is so vulnerable. ... If you look at my eyes, I look more sad than actually my voice sounds on the record. It was a lot harder to actually do the video than it was to even record the song. It was much more of an emotional experience," she told Entertainment Tonight.

"I think the video is much more," she said. "If people get past the point I make, and you actually look at me, you can tell I look more broken than even the song sounds."
