'Breaking Bad' NEWS: Walter White's Story To Climax With Longer And More Heartbreaking Episodes, Will There Be More Tragedy?

Devotees of 'Breaking Bad' will have an extended farewell after AMC's decision to extend the run time of the last two episodes to 75 minutes each. Instead of the usual 50 minutes, the last two installments will be '"longer" and "extremely emotional" according to insiders.

Based on the schedule released by AMC, 'Low Winter Sun', the show following 'Breaking Bad' will start at 10:15 p.m. - earlier by 10 minutes than its usual time slot. Co-executive producer Peter Gould has similarly confirmed the news. He tweeted: "I checked & it's official. Last 2 #BreakingBad eps are 75 minutes each w/commercials. Set your DVRS accordingly. Better still, watch live!"

The penultimate episode of the nerve-wracking US drama will be airing this coming Monday whereas the thrilling finale will be aired on September 30.The final episodes will air a day earlier in America.

The last two episodes will quickly follow the events of the last episode 'Ozymandias'. Actor Dean Norris recently revealed his satisfaction with how his character was killed in the show: 'Getting shot in the head is a great ending. I thought it was a proper ending." The episode drew approximately 6.4 million viewers.

Fans do not need to worry because both AMC and Sony have already confirmed the release of a spin-off series. This time, the special Breaking Bad series will follow the life of lawyer Samuel Goodman. The show's title will be 'Better Call Saul.'
