iOS 7 Jailbreak Untethered Coming In 6 Months? Jailbreak For iOS 6 Coming In A Few Weeks

For people who own Apple devices, the strict permissions and limited options to fully customize their phones or tablets are two of common problems. But thanks to the jailbreaking community, getting access to your phone's system files is now possible. However, new software versions over the years have made it really difficult for hackers to develop such access. Is the iOS 7 jailbreak untethered an exception?

A member of jailbreaking team Evad3rs tweeted yesterday that an iOS 7 jailbreak is currently in the works, though that does not mean it should come out right away.

"Being more and more confident about an iOS 7 public jailbreak ;-) [that does not mean soon]," tweeted pod2g to Nikias Bassen, another prominent member of the group.

In addition, 4s_poison, another iPhone hacker said that "Jailbreak for iOS 7 5s 5c coming around 6 months,"

In a report by ExtremeTech, it explained that the time needed for jailbreaking vary greatly depending on the security features of the operating system. It said older versions tend to get jailbreak untethered easier because of the rare updates, while newer ones are more difficult to hack.

Meanwhile, according to Redmondpie, another hacker posted that an untethered jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3/6.1.4 may be released in a few weeks.

If you are currently on iOS 7, I would recommend downgrading to 6.1.3/6.1.4 (via DFU).
Why? There is currently a possibility of a potential 6.1.3/6.1.4 untethered A5+ jailbreak being pushed in the upcoming days/weeks.
