GTA V Sales: Grand Theft Auto V To Be Fastest Selling Entertainment Product In History, $1 Billion Sales In 3 Days, And Still Counting

Since its announcement in 2011, a lot of people have predicted that GTA V sales would be off the charts. Until now, not so many analysts and experts have actually believed it can make so much money in so little time. 

But it did, and there's no stopping it now. 

As one of the world's most profitable game franchises in history, Grand Theft Auto V continues to amaze both fans and onlookers with its stellar performance as far as sales is concerned. A couple of days ago, Take-Two Interactive announced that its highly-anticipated game has reached $1 billion or roughly 16.5 million units sold in just 3 days. 

Last year, Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 seemed poised to hold on to the top spot by reaching $1 billion in over 2 weeks since its release. GTA V topped it five times faster. 

If the game continues its otherworldly success, it could become not only the fastest-selling entertainment product in history, but also the highest-grossing product as well. Not to mention that the PC version is still underway according to some rumors spreading on the Internet since last week, including alleged screenshots of a beta version.
