Former Super Junior Hankyung Contemplated Suicide?

Hankyung confessed in an interview that he contemplated suicide while performing as a member of Super Junior.

The interview aired on Beijing TV's music program. Hankyung explained everything from his days as a trainee and forming Super Junior to his abrupt exit from the team. Han Kyung said, "After performing with Super Junior M in 2008, I came into my own without anyone's help. Many people recognized me, and I realized that I became a star."

He continued, "I left Super Junior because I was miserable. I asked SM to help me become an actor and allow me to learn English, both of which they denied. I felt like I'd go insane and felt mentally handicapped. I wondered why they didn't let me do the things that other members did, like film ads and dramas. I thought about it so much that I became unstable and eventually contemplated suicide."

He explained his reason for leaving Super Junior, saying, "I want to do something happy, even if it means I'm not famous for it."

It is interesting to note that fans are expressing disappointment at Hankyung over this interview.
