Block B Reveals Details of New Album, Relationship with Cho PD and Former Agency

Back with the very energetic and exciting single "Very Good," as well as a new record label tailor made just for them, Block B reminds us all that the key to good pop music is everybody having fun.

Released on October 2, the new mini-album Very Good from the seven-member group is a strong comeback after their legal woes in the beginning of the year and shows that Block B is ready to kick things up a notch.

On October 3 the group held a press conference to discuss Block B's new direction and how they persevered through their agency troubles to create such a powerful comeback.

In talking about the latest single "Very Good," Zico explained, "It is a song that shows our confidence in being the best. The cheerful vibe symbolizes that we are the best."

Zico played an important role in the construction of the fresh, new album and spoke proudly of the group's accomplishment. "Compared to previous albums, this is more perfectly complete, so we hope you will listen to it well," he said.

Block B utilized a holistic method for creating the unique sound and energy the new album has to offer.

"As we spent a lot of time together, it was easy to grasp each member's personality and dicover a genre that matched each individual," reflected Zico.

The group explained that they had been working on Very Good since April, long before they were able to officially leave Stardom Entertainment, the record company they had many problems with in the past. The members admitted trying to mix so many genres together for the album proved to be a very difficult challenge, but they pressed forward with the passion to continue providing exciting new music to their fans.

The members vented their frustrations by pouring themselves entirely into the project for the past several months and said, "Because we didn't know when the album would come out, we worked diligently."

Block B underwent a series of rather serious legal problems with their former agency Stardom Entertainment and specifically with group founder Cho PD. Earlier this year, the group sued Stardom seeking wages they claimed were wrongfully withheld, but the case was ultimately dismissed by the courts.

However, at the press conference the group seemed to now consider the situation water under the bridge and hinted that the parties were once again on good terms.

"We have a good relationship with Stardom Entertainment and Cho PD. Just yesterday, we received a supportive message," they revealed.

Block B released their latest album under their new agency Seven Seasons on October 2. Check out the music video for the title track "Very Good" below.
