Upcoming Android Phones 2013: Alleged Spec Leak Shows New Google Nexus 5 Is Identical To LG's G2

With the announcements for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Sony Xperia Z1, Motorola Moto X, and LG G2 done, we come down to the supposed highlight of upcoming Android phones for 2013 - the highly-touted Nexus 5.

For many years, a lot of Android purists have argued that stock Android is the best OS in the world, and the Nexus line has provided them what they wanted.

This year, the Nexus 5 is manufactured by Korean company LG Electronics, and from the looks of it, it is identical to the manufacturer's G2 smartphone launched a month ago.

A leaked spec sheet reached the desk of Android Police, stating that the upcoming Nexus 5 more or less has almost all the specifications of the current LG G2, except for a number of downgrades.

First of these is the primary shooter which only has 8MP with OIS, down from the 13-megapixel snapper from the G2. It also has a slightly smaller screen at 4.95 inches, and a smaller battery capacity at 2,300mAh.

Under the hood, the Nexus 5 will have a Snapdragon 800 chipset, 2GB of RAM, 16GB and 32GB variants of internal storage, wireless charging, and the new Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.

The new Nexus handset is rumored to be released later this month.
