Superstar K5 First Singles Released!
The first singles from the Superstar K5 were released on October 7th.
Mnet has said that their team of "Super Producers" featuring Shinsadong Tiger, Hwang Sung Jae, Choi Kap Won, and Koo Ja Kyung, all of whom were introduced in the first ever "Black Week," will produce the TOP 10 contestants songs from the initial recording to the final producing of the song.
It is especially interesting to see where these singles will sweep the charts like it did in the previous seasons.
The album, titled "Superstar K5: Part 1" features the songs performed live onstage as well as previously performed songs in the preliminary stages. Only the songs that have received copyright permission were used. Some songs were chosen because of the numerous fan requests. 10 songs in total are included, one for each contestant.
The album includes Song Hee Jin's "Wind Memory (original artist Na Earl)" as the title song and also features Kim Min Ji's "Like An Indian Doll (original artist Na Mi)", Park Jae Jung's "Cha Ma (original artist Sung Shi Kyung)", Wevely's "NoNoNo (original artist A-Pink)", Jang Won Ki's "Leetaewon Freedom (original artist UV)", Jung Eun Woo's "Grass Leaf Love (original artist Choi Sung Soo)", PlanB's "With You (original artist The Blue)", and Park Shi Hwan's "To Her Lover (original artist K2)".
Lim Soon Young, who sang Lee Juk's "Rain" on her live stage, recorded a different song, "Confession" by Ha Rim due to her fans' wishes to hear "Confession" over "Rain".
CJ E&M stated, "We are trying our best to make the album situation work for both the listeners and the singers. We are working with the TOP 10 contestants to make sure they are singing their best songs for the listeners, and we are also taking heed to what the fans of Superstar K want to listen to."
Superstar K5's first live elimination stage concluded with Wevely being eliminated. Lim Soon Young and Mashibro will go through a "People's Voting" round after which one of the two performers will be able to join the next live stage.
