Miley Cyrus Turns Heads With Michele Bachmann Sketch On Saturday Night Live 2013 [VIDEO]: From Twerker To Goverment Worker

Miley Cyrus did a splendid Michele Bachmann on Saturday Night Live, coupled with her eye-catching (or was it brow raising?) performance on 'We Did Stop', a parodied version of Cyrus' hit single, 'We Can't Stop'

Roger this: Rep. Bachmann (Miley Cyrus dressed in black pantsuit) stuffing dollar bills in the mouth of Speaker of the House, John Boehner (Taran Killam) as he straddles Uncle Sam (the ordinary American citizen).

Look no further for this is what the shutdown is all about and Miley Cyrus's 'We Did It' summed it all up very nicely,

It's our party / We can do what we want / It's our party / We can say what we want / It's our party / We can stop what we want/ We can vote how we want / Defund what we want

Red states and sweaty bodies everywhere / Bill's in the house like we don't care / 'cause we came to shut it all down now/ No government around now / If you're not ready for health care / Can I get a "HELL, NO!" / 'Cause we're gonna keep it out shut down / D.C. is a closed town all-round

So la da di da di, Cyrus' appearance on show Saturday Night Live as the host and music guest created buzz that has Twitter buzzing with excitement for over 48 hours now. And it continues.

While her style was brash, her tongue-in-cheek humor was on the mark. With a funnily dressed Taran Killam playing Speaker of the House John Boehner, Miley Cyrus (as Rep. Michele Bachmann) parodied the government shutdown quite lucidly.

The trendy hip 'twerking' was there all around, with Boehner (Killan) joining in as well.

Citizens who were still struggling to understand the whole hoopla around government shutdown, even as it enters the second week without a resolution in sight, could figure out the why and what of the whole issue.

The performance was as laudable as it was outrageous; for a week Cyrus' critics will know better than to criticize her as being untalented.  Cyrus has come a long way from her visibly shaky performance on SNL three years back.
