FIFA 14 Release Date: Patch Released On PS3, Xbox 360 This Week? EA Sports Looks To Go Live On Sony, Microsoft Consoles

The second patch for FIFA 14 is scheduled to go live on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this week, EA says according to Gamespot.com

Major changes coming to the new patch, which is currently live on PC, will see through balls, attacking headers, and finesse shots all fine-tuned to address feedback from the community that scoring is currently too easy, Gamespot.com also reports.

FIFA '14 has captured the attentions of sports fans and gamers around the world for its enhanced capabilities, but rumors suggest the game's next-generation version will include better specs, like an improved ignite engine.

"The Ignite Engine is the motor behind FIFA 14′s sports car, the Gareth Bale in the Wales team - to put it simply, the Ignite Engine is what makes 14 tick on next generation platforms," WhatCulture.com reports.

Ignite effects a multitude of features, from the crowds in the stands through to the action on the pitch, delivering better AI intelligence and a more realistic way of striking the ball.

EA Sports released a list of the Top 50 players in FIFA '14 and has ranked Messi and Ronaldo in the top two spots with ratings of 94 and 92 respectively

The developer's ranking caused controversy when they ranked Gareth Bale, the world's highest paid soccer player, at No. 17 with a rating of 87.

But player rankings aren't the only thing gamers are buzzing about.

Microsoft has announced that it will be releasing its Xbox One on November 22, prompting the same launch day for FIFA '14 on the next-generation console.
