USA Gymnastics Team Win 10 Medals At 2013 World Gymnastics Championships Event Finals [VIDEOS]: McKayla Maroney, Kyla Ross, Simone Biles, Jake Dalton, John Orozco Medal

It was a big weekend for Team USA gymnastics at the 2013 World Gymnastics Championships, where the U.S. gymnasts scored 10 medals on various even finals.

For the men's side, while team USA gymnastics failed to medal in the all-around, four men managed to score medals in the event finals.

Jake Dalton won the silver on floor behind Japan's Kenzo Shirai. While Dalton beat four-time all-around world champion Kohei Uchimura, who had to settle for bronze, Shirai had a start value that was .6 higher than the rest of the field.

Brandon Wynn made a big statement on still rings, scoring a medal for the first time since 1994. Olympic rings champion Arthur Zanetti defended his title, while Aleksandr Balandin of Russia came in second.

Steven Legendre went home with the silver medal on vault behind vaulting phenom Yang Hak Seon, and Olympian John Orozco won a bronze on parallel bars.

Overall, while team USA gymnastics probably wished for better results for the men, it was a good showing overall.

But it was the women of the team USA who truly shined during event finals.

McKayla Maroney was the only U.S. gymnast to defend her world title, not surprisingly on her speciality: the vault. Simone Biles (who won the silver), however, is quickly catching up to Maroney as a vaulting powerhouse, and the two will likely battle it out for the title in future seasons.

Kyla Ross, meanwhile, continued her silver streak by adding balance beam and uneven bars medals to her silver in the all-around.

Surprisingly Simone Biles also won the bronze on balance beam after filing an inquiry, which edged Vanessa Ferrari from medaling.

But Biles absolutely dominated on floor exercise, showing off high difficulty and clean execution with her gymnastics. She easily won another gold medal for Team USA.
