iPad 5 Release Date Set For October 15 [RUMOR]; New Apple iOS Tablet To Overtake PC Desktop Market?

With the alleged launch date only a few days from now, iPad 5 release date rumors continue to intensify even more.

Reports about iPad 5 release date claiming to be this mid-October are strong, making Apple fans even more excited with the arrival of a new iOS product. Reportedly, Apple is already preparing to host a media event on the rumored iPad 5 release date - on October 15. Earlier rumors suggest that aside from the iPad 5, the iPad Mini 2 will also be unveiled during the launch event. However, recent reports are suggesting that the iPad Mini 2 release date will be delayed, making the iPad 5 the sole center of attraction during the alleged media event.

And as iPad 5 release date proves to be more imminent, a number of sources have been assessing the possibly role the new tablet will play in the computer market.  As posted on The Inquisitr, "Investors are already saying the iPad 5 release date will feature a push by Apple to overtake the PC desktop market."

Moreover, as reported on Christian Post, citing an investment note from Deutsche Bank Equity Research, "Apple apparently hopes to accelerate the trend of people using tablets instead of PCs."

The note reads, "We... expect growing [desktop] virtualization and iPad deployments in the enterprise to pressure corporate PC sales through 2014-15..

Beside the iPad 5 release date, tech fans are also curious to know the official specs of the device. However, similar to the status of the iPad 5 release date, the specs emerging online about the next-gen tablet remains to be all rumors.

Reports state that the iPad 5 may be equipped with A7X chipset processor, designed by Samsung and most likely be 64-bit. Moreover, there is also a possibility that the memory size for the iPad 5 gets 4 GB or even higher, considering that recent smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is packed with 3 GB of RAM.
