Star Wars Episode 7 Plot Rumors: Will Saoirse Ronan Play Han Solo And Princess Leia's Daughter?
"Star Wars Episode 7" plot rumors continue, but now Saoirse Ronan has confirmed she auditioned for "Star Wars Episode 7." The newest plot rumors suggests Saoirse Ronan will play Han Solo and Princess Leia's daughter in the upcoming "Star Wars" film.
Saoirse Ronan revealed to the UK's Sky News that she has auditioned for a role in "Star Wars Episode 7."
However, the 19-year-old Irish actress added, "So has everyone."
She declined to name other names, Moviefone reports, via Sky News. She also denied to feed or quell any further plot rumors
Sky News speculates that Ronan could play the role of Han Solo and Princess Leia's daughter. Despite this speculation, neither director JJ Abrams nor the original "Star Wars" creator George Lucas has said a word about the official plot synopsis.
Ronan said those involved would "chop off [her] head with a lightsaber" if she revealed anything else about the top-secret project.
Though Ronan kept her lips sealed, fans may remember that plot rumors got really heated in early June this summer, when Schmoes Know leaked a plot description that says the plot for "Star Wars Episode VII" will revolve around two 17-year-old twins, one male and one female, who are "trained by their uncle Luke to be the greatest Jedis in the galaxy. Problems arise when the male twin turns to the dark side."
If this plot is accurate, then it looks very likely that the young Ronan auditioned for the female twin, who would be the niece of Uncle Luke, and thus the daughter of Princess Leia and Han Solo.
In other "Star Wars Episode 7" rumors, a rather reliable Twitter user, according to Comicbook.com, made an interesting announcement this week.
Ali Arikan is the chief film critic of Dipnot TV, and he has a track record of being right on Star Wars news. On Tuesday, Arikan tweeted, "So here's what I'm hearing about Episode VII. Casting and title announcements are imminent, possibly today or tomorrow. But that's not all. I've heard word that there'll be an announcement trailer/teaser featuring Luke. Tweeting this so I look like Nikki Finke if/when it happens."
While it's already Wednesday and we have yet to hear anything official, this could mean that we are closer than ever to learning new details.
"Star Wars Episode VII" begins shooting next year in England, with a summer 2015 release date planned.
