Nexus 5 Release Date And Price Leaked By Japanese Retailer, To Be Available In November

It has almost been a month since Android 4.4 Kit Kat was announced inside Google's headquarters, which also started the rumor regarding the new Nexus smartphone. Now, a Japanese retailer provides the alleged Nexus 5 price as well as its release date.

According to a report by GSM Arena, Redstar, a Japanese retailer has posted a number of juicy details about the upcoming Nexus 5. It is said to be priced at about 44,600 yen (about $460) for the 16GB edition, while the 32GB variant has a pricetag of 49,800 yen (about $513).

The retailer also stated that the LG-manufactured Nexus 5 would arrive in their shelves on November 14. We still don't know if this is the official release date or if Japan won't get the device yet when it comes out this month.

As you can see, pricing is a bit on the higher midrange side, which can be a difficult sell for those who have limited income. In another report, several analysts confirmed that pricing for the Nexus 5 can start at just $299 for the 16GB and $399 for the 32GB variant.

Let's just wait and see until Google finally unveils its most anticipated smartphone of the year.
