Sandra Bullock Is An Award Winning Actress That Continues To Defy ‘Gravity’; Oscar Nomination Floated After Rave Reviews On Her Performance

Sandra Bullock is hitting to another possible Oscar nomination again through her recent movie “Gravity,” which opened Friday, according to CNN.

The movie starring Bullock and George Clooney was basically about some astronauts running into some trouble during their works in space. This thriller movie about two likeable people floating beyond Earth runs in a 90 minute time table.

Bullock who was thought of being qualified to get the title of “America’s sweetheart”, whenever there’s a contest for such, has for the past few years managed to gain celebrity despite the fact that she eschews the trappings of Hollywood.

Evidence seen for this claim is the acceptance of most people by Bullock’s, an Oscar-winning actress, decision for the transracial adoption of his African-American son from New Orleans, whereas other celebrities were criticized in the black community for doing such; all these came to public’s awareness when she was, in 2010, at the height of her devastating marital breakup with Jesse James.

The “Blind Side” actress chose to live her life in cities like Austin, Texas and New Orleans and had paparazzi literally chases her in such places which are outside the usual city limits. “The beloved –and eminently bankable –Sandra Bullock soars to a new heights in the season’s hotly anticipated outer-space thriller, Gravity” –a post from Vogue.

Among the other celebrities who adore her was “Avengers” star Chris Evans that admitted Bullock, one Hollywood’s top 10 highest paid actresses, was his first celebrity crush. He added “I saw ‘Speed’ when I was in seventh grade, and I was like, that’s my lady.. I literally had a big poster (of her).”

Her heartfelt tribute to her late mother when she won the best actress Oscar for “The Blind Side” brought some to tears when she said, “If I can take this moment to thank Helga B. for not letting me ride in cars with boys until I was 18 –because she was right. I would have done what she said I was going to do. For making me practice every day when I got home. Piano, ballet, whatever it is I wanted to be –she said to be an artist, you had to practice every day. And for reminding her daughters that there’s no race, no religion, no class system, no color, nothing, no sexual orientation that makes us better than anyone else. We are all deserving of love. So, to that trailblazer, who allowed me to have that. And this.”

Bullock, whenever interviewed, can be downright cool, funny and self-deprecating. She was even able to joke back at Ferguson when the film “Dumb and Dumber”, referencing their interview is going that way, by saying “Poop humor is fun. If you do the toilet scenes well and commit to them they can be really, really powerful.”; during her appearance in June on “the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” to promote “The Heat”.

This isn’t really a surprising act of Bullock to have such a subject tackled. The actress, who have gone from being tagged as more girl next door has now stepped into motherhood and is proud to tell Us Weekly that Louis, her 3 year old son, is fully potty-trained. And was straightforward when she said that anything that isn’t good for her son, in any way, her career and the fame, she would give it all up saying “I don’t want him to have pressures brought on by what I do. I will quit. I will leave. If I see whatever I’m doing affecting him negatively, I will pack up and move to Alaska.”

The actress prefers to spend time with her toddler than working the press. This exactly is what she did at the premiere of “Gravity”, an Alfonso Cuaron directed film where she plays the role of a medical engineer on her first space mission –Ryan Stone’s character.

According to Bullock, “That’s the most extreme situation I’ve experienced in a long time. Being in front of a camera, in a nice dress, getting all dressed up is extreme. There’s a lot of other extreme situations, you know, just getting out of bed sometimes is extreme –but I do. Just got to do it, just got to get up. Put your sweatpants on, brush off the dog hair and just get out of the house!” She even told CNN at the premiere that it was extreme enough for her being on the red carpet.

The special effects and technology used in “Gravity” to make Bullock appear weightless was overshadowed by the actress’ strong performance according to director Cuaron. He even told Access Hollywood that “When you see Sandra performing …with the truthfulness she performed, you forget it was any technology around.”

On the other hand, rumors were speculated of having Bullock a possible contender for an Oscar once again after the film’s debut at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.
