After a number of rumors regarding iPad 5 release date surfaced online, it seems that the arrival of the new iOS tablet is already on the horizon.

According to fresh rumors about iPad 5 release date and launch schedule, Apple is set to hold its invite-only event on October 22, where the fifth-generation full-sized tablet will be unveiled. Even though there are no firm details yet regarding the iPad 5 release date in the market, it is most likely that the device will start to become available by November 1, at least in North America, as reported on Extreme Tech.

Aside from the iPad 5 launching, Apple's October 22 media event will also feature next-generation products such as the iPad Mini. It is also believed tha the OS X Mavericks and the upgraded Macbook Pro will take the stage on October 22.

Aside from the rumors about iPad 5 release date, reports about upcoming bigger Apple tablets are also rife. As iPad 5 release date nears, featuring a 9.7-inch screen, it is reported that the Cupertino-based tech firm is already testing larger sizes for future iPad, which "could replace the company's low-end notebook computers" as posted on International Business Times, citing an analyst from Barclays Equity Research, Ben Reitzes.

The analyst speculated that the tech titan might create a 13-inch iPad in the future, and the 64-bit A7 chip could have a significant role in this new device. The post reads, "Reitzes wrote in a note to investors on Tuesday that the 64-bit architecture could be implemented on a 13-inch model of the iPad, which would be capable of replacing some of Apple's laptops, such as the MacBook Air."

Apple is not yet making any comments about iPad 5 release date rumors and other speculations about its new products. But as the alleged iPad 5 release date nears, Apple fans can expect more news about it.
