Samsung Galaxy S5 Release Date Rumors: Next-Gen Flagship Device Arriving As Early As January To Coincide At CES 2014

The rumor mill for Samsung Galaxy S5 release date continues to be in high gear as a new potential launch date has recently emerged.

Previous Samsung Galaxy S5 release date rumors are pointing to a possible March 2014 unveiling of the next-generation flagship smartphone. However, fresh reports are claiming a new development regarding Samsung Galaxy S5 release date

As posted on Tech Radar, Samsung Galaxy S5 release date may be set for as early as January. Citing Naver, a Korean web portal, "Samsung is said to be moving up the release date for the successor to its flagship Android, the Galaxy S4, due to the phone's 'sales slump.' Naver is a website composed of former Samsung employees.

Moreover, this alleged Samsung Galaxy S5 release date, which more specifically, could be set for mid-January, may coincide with Samsung's presence at CES 2014, a tradeshow for global consumer electronics and technology.

Aside from Samsung Galaxy S5 release date, tech fans are also interested to know about the official specs of the forthcoming smartphone, but Google is still not making any comments about the rumors surrounding the device.

However, as rumors suggest, the Samsung Galaxy S5 is expected to be equipped with a 64-bit chipset processor, to compete with the recently-released iPhone 5S which sports the same kind of processor. Particularly, the Samsung Galaxy S5 is rumored to have a 64-bit Exynos 5430 "true eight-core" processor.

Moreover, it is also believed that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will be the first all-metal smartphone of the Korean phone manufacturer, veering away from the cheap shiny plastic used on its previous smartphone devices. Allegedly, the camera will also be upgraded with 16 MP sensor featuring optical image stabilization. The Samsung Galaxy S5 is also rumored to have a fingerprint scanner, another feature available on iPhone 5S.

More Samsung Galaxy S5 release date news will definitely pop up in the coming months.
