Upcoming Android Phones 2013: LG Releases Budget Phablet, Packed With 5.5" Display, 1GB Of RAM, Stylus Pen

There has been a lot of upcoming Android phones in 2013, and LG wants to add up to that number with its new entry-level phablet.

Yesterday, the Korean manufacturer announced the LG G Pro Lite which will be first available in Korea.

According to the report by BGR, the smartphon will feature a large 5.5" display with 960 x 540 screen resolution, a 1Ghz dual core processor, 1GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel primary shooter and 1.3MP front cam.

It also boasts decent specs with 8GB of internal memory with option for microSD expansion, LG's stylus pen and Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.

"With LG G Pro Lite, we are introducing a competitive device to the masses in the growing large smartphone market," said LG CEO Dr. Jong-seok Park. "The market for smartphones with displays over five inches will continue to grow and LG is in a great position to capture these new customers when they're ready to move up from their current phones."

Pricing has yet to be revealed but we assume that it would be very competitive in order to take on other phablet's in the midrange and high-end markets. Getting the LG G Pro Lite will surely be a must for users who just want to have a huge phone and some basic capabilities without sacrficing quality.

The report says the phablet will hit South America this month, followed by Asia, Russia and the Middle East.
