Lamar Odom Ditches Date With Children After Losing Track Of Time: Did The Basketball Star Intentionally Choose To Party Than Bond With His Kids?

The veteran basketball player was supposed fly to New York to spend some quality time with his children with ex-girlfriend Liza Morales, Destiny, 13, and Lamar Jr., 10.

However, Odom missed his flight prompting him to cancel his date with the children. According to one insider, the children were "disappointed and saddened". "The kids had expected to see their father this weekend. They were shattered that the visit was cancelled. It was to be first time Destiny and Lamar Jr. had spent anytime with their father since the cheating and drug allegations surfaced," the source told Radar Online.

The 33-year-old athlete has not seen his children in months especially when issues about his drug usage and extramarital affairs came out. The same source also talked about the impact of Odom's troubles towards the lives of his children: "In the past, when things were normal, Lamar would call and video chat with the kids on a very regular basis. Khloe even actually organized numerous visits for the kids to come to Los Angeles. What made Lamar's decision to cancel his trip all the more hard was that Destiny and Lamar Jr. know exactly what is going on with their dad because they have been teased at school."

According to the insider, Odom started to party several hours before his flight. Khloe Kardashian's husband allegedly lost track of time and did not reach the airport in a timely manner.
